Dr. Hatlapa began his career in 1983 performing as a management consultant. In 1988 he independently started his practice as a buyout investor, taking controlling positions in a variety of individual companies. After a highly successful business career, Dr. Hatlapa founded Maritime Capital Holding to allocate funds globally into various asset classes. As the managing director of the company, he oversees the entirety of the operations, acts as portfolio manager, leads the investment research process, and is in charge of the firm’s risk management activities.
Dr. Hatlapa has a PhD in Business Administration from the University of Witten and a Bachelor in Business Administration from the European Business School.

Mr. Hernandorena joined Maritime Capital Holding in 2016 as an Investment Analyst. His role involves performing long and short research on targeted investment opportunities, with a focus on developed markets’ public equities. Prior to Maritime, Mr. Hernandorena worked as a sell-side equity analyst covering global equities in the technology sector. He also performed as an investment consultant, managing discretionary investment portfolios.
Mr. Hernandorena is a Chartered Financial Analyst, has a Master in Applied Finance from Singapore Management University and a Bachelor in Economics from Universidad de San Andres.
